The Larry Minton Foundation
Our Mission: To empower, inspire, and enrich the lives of underprivileged children in our local community through life changing musical experiences.
Who We Are
The Larry Minton Foundation is operated by AnnMarie Minton along with her family and staff members. AnnMarie is very passionate and dedicated to making a difference in Loudoun County through the vehicle of music education. AnnMarie developed the foundation in memory of her husband Larry Minton. Larry dedicated most of his life to inspiring others to learn the joy of music. He always looked for that person who wanted to learn but did not have the means to educate themselves. We are going to continue his dream of educating young minds with the joy of music.
What We Do
The Larry Minton Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing the low income population with musical opportunities, private and group instruction, and chances to perform. This is achieved through strategic partnerships with Mintons Academy of Music, local schools and private individuals. Through these unique services we believe major developments occur such as essential listening and motor skills, individual emotional and mental growth, expansion of self-confidence, acquisition of perseverance and self-discipline, and embracement of responsibility. Our goal is to provide these invaluable services at a greatly reduced cost, yet rich with creativity. Our lesson fees are calculated using an income-based sliding scale. Fill out our new student sign up form and we will get in touch with you with more information. (We will be accepting forms in February 2019)
This page is dedicated to Mintons Academy of Music founder; Larry Minton, who passed away in September 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
